Pumpkin Spice Latte, in collaboration with Biocaf.
Raise your hand if you’ve cleaned your coffee equipment in the last month, year, or ever. I’m not talking about washing with soap and water, but actually taking the time to use products to deep clean inside your coffee equipment where the water runs through it.
Don’t worry if you didn’t raise your hand because until this last month, I had never deep cleaned any of my coffee equipment! To be honest, I didn’t even know I could until Biocaf came into my life. Cleaning your coffee equipment is so important and what you use to clean it could make your coffee taste better and your equipment last longer. Who wouldn’t want that?!
If you didn’t know, it’s Pumpkin Spice Latte season. The season that I anticipate all year long! I know I can enjoy Pumpkin Spice Lattes, better known as PSL, year-round but for some reason they just hit different once fall rolls around. Am I the only one who thinks so? You better believe I’ll be saving my money and making all the #ColdBrewLikeRobin PSL drinks at home. This kind of specialty drink can seem intimidating at first but trust me, you’ll become a PSL pro in no time. I’ve created a very special pumpkin spice syrup for you so you can make it at home this fall too. But first we need to chat about cleaning our coffee equipment with Biocaf so our Pumpkin Spice Latte can taste better than a coffee shop! Your friends and family will be begging you to make them a PSL each day. Maybe even leave a tip jar out for your hard work. 😉
Biocaf carries a wide variety of cleaning products to clean your specific piece of coffee equipment, even your coffee grinder! Biocaf products are naturally formulated, highly effective, safe, and easy to use. Safety is number one in my home because I have two babies and a curious cat that get into everything. I can clean with my mind at ease knowing that Biocaf products are made with safety in mind. Each product is made with ingredients that are found in nature, plant- and mineral-based, 100% biodegradable, and phosphate free. It was actually super intimidating to me to think about cleaning my Brimm coffee maker but once I started the step by step process was a breeze. I couldn’t wait to brew my first cup post cleaning.
Now let’s see which Biocaf product you need to clean your coffee equipment-

Now that you’ve cleaned your coffee equipment, let’s make this better-than-Starbucks Pumpkin Spice Latte!
Pumpkin Spice Syrup:
* 1 + 1/2 cups filtered water
* 1/2 cup coconut sugar
* 1/2 cup brown sugar
* 4 cinnamon sticks
* 2 tsp pumpkin pie spice
* 2 tbsp pumpkin purée
Instructions:
* In a medium saucepan, boil the water and sugars together until the sugar dissolves.
* Then add the cinnamon sticks, pumpkin pie spice, and purée. Whisk these ingredients together and simmer for 8 mins.
* Remove the cinnamon sticks after simmering and strain the syrup through a cheesecloth or strainer.
* Store in the refrigerator for up to two weeks!
Pumpkin Spice Latte:
* 10 ounces hot strong coffee or two shots of espresso
* 1-2 tbsp homemade pumpkin spice syrup
* 1/3 cup milk of choice
Instructions:
* Brew your coffee in your freshly cleaned coffee maker.
* Pour your desired amount of syrup into a mug. Then pour the coffee or espresso over the syrup, set aside.
* Make your milk foam using your preferred method. You can easily make milk foam by using a $5 hand frother or use a fancy milk frother machine, both work great! Sometimes I like adding some cinnamon to the milk as it’s frothing, so yum.
* Pour the milk foam over your prepared coffee with Pumpkin Spice Syrup and enjoy!
Whether you are now in the mood for a Pumpkin Spice Latte or not, I hope that you’re inspired to clean your coffee maker right after reading this post. My mind was blown seeing the dirty water in my Brimm coffee maker after the first round of cleaning. I can’t wait to hear how your cleaning experience goes when you try Biocaf for yourself.
This Pumpkin Spice Latte made in collaboration with Biocaf will be my go-to drink for all of fall! Find this drink and more over on my Instagram under #ColdBrewLikeRobin. Happy sipping!
