Date Caramel Apple Bites 🍎✨

The easiest snack that feels like dessert β€” sweet, chewy, chocolatey, and perfectly salty. These Date Caramel Apple Bites taste like a caramel apple, but without the mess (or refined sugar). They’re my latest obsession for when I want something fun and fall-inspired that still fits my real food vibe.

Ingredients

  • 1 juicy red apple, diced into date-sized bites

  • 8–10 dates, pitted

  • Almond or peanut butter

  • β…“ cup melted Hu chocolate gems + Β½ tsp coconut oil

  • Flaky sea salt

Instructions

  1. Slice each date in half and spread with nut butter.

  2. Add one apple piece inside and fold the date around it to β€œstuff” it.

  3. Melt your chocolate and coconut oil together until smooth.

  4. Dip each stuffed date into the melted chocolate and place on parchment paper.

  5. Sprinkle with flaky sea salt.

  6. Freeze for 10–15 minutes to set the chocolate β€” then enjoy!

They’re chewy like caramel, crisp from the apple, and taste like a candy bar in disguise. I store mine in the fridge for up to a week (if they last that long).

Why You’ll Love It

  • No refined sugar β€” all sweetness from dates and apple.

  • 5 ingredients, zero baking.

  • Kid-approved and freezer-friendly.

  • Feels like dessert, but made from real food ingredients.
