A fun, nostalgic matcha made with Lucky Charms cereal milk for a lightly sweet, marshmallow-vanilla flavor. It’s the perfect festive treat to make once a year for a little St. Patrick’s Day matcha moment
1cupLucky Charms cereal - or any other cereal of choice
1cupmilk of choice - i love my homemade cashew milk here
1cupice
1 1/2 - 2tspmatcha powder
1/4cupwater
small handful of Lucky Charms marshmallows to top
Instructions
Add the Lucky Charms cereal and milk to a cup. Let it soak for about 5 minutes, or until the milk turns a light blue-green color.
Sift the matcha powder into a bowl. Add the water and whisk vigorously with a bamboo whisk for 10–15 seconds until foamy. Whisk in a zig-zag or “M” motion to create a smooth, frothy matcha.
Once the milk has finished steeping, strain out the cereal and marshmallows so you’re left with the flavored milk.
Fill a glass with ice and pour in the Lucky Charms cereal milk. Slowly pour the whisked matcha over the top.
Top with a few Lucky Charms marshmallows for a festive touch.
