Pumpkin Spice Shaken Espresso πŸŽƒβ˜•οΈβœ¨

Fall means one thing in my kitchen: pumpkin everything. But instead of running to the coffee shop (and paying $7 a drink), I’ve been shaking up my own cozy, creamy Pumpkin Spice Shaken Espresso at home. It’s bold, frothy, lightly sweetened with real pumpkin syrup, and gives all the seasonal vibes without the mystery ingredients.

The star of the recipe is my homemade pumpkin coffee syrupβ€”made with pumpkin puree, warm spices, and a touch of brown sugar (or monkfruit if you want it sugar-free). A batch of this syrup lasts all week in the fridge, which means every morning can taste like fall in a cup. 🫢🏼

The Recipe

You’ll Need:

  • 2 shots espresso (or strong brewed coffee)

  • 2 oz warm water

  • 2–3 tablespoons homemade pumpkin coffee syrup (recipe below)

  • Half & half (or milk of choice)

  • Pumpkin pie spice, for topping

Pumpkin Coffee Syrup:

  • Β½ cup pumpkin puree

  • Β½ cup brown sugar (or monkfruit for sugar-free)

  • Β½ tsp cinnamon

  • 2 tsp pumpkin pie spice

  • Β½ tsp vanilla extract

  • Β½ cup water

Instructions

  1. Make the syrup:
In a small saucepan, whisk together pumpkin puree, sugar, spices, vanilla, and water. Simmer on low heat for 5–7 minutes until smooth and combined. Let cool, then store in a jar in the fridge for up to a week.

  2. Shake it up:
Add the espresso, warm water, and pumpkin syrup to a shaker or jar with ice. Shake vigorously for 20–30 seconds until frothy.

  3. Pour & finish:
Strain into a tall glass over ice. Top with half & half (or your favorite milk), and dust with pumpkin pie spice.

Why You’ll Love This Drink

  • Real pumpkin flavor: No artificial syrupsβ€”just actual pumpkin and cozy spices.

  • Budget-friendly: One batch of syrup makes multiple drinks, saving you money (and errands).

  • Customizable: Use your favorite milk, adjust sweetness, or even make it hot instead of iced.

  • Coffee shop worthy: Frothy, creamy, and perfectly spicedβ€”without leaving home.

This Pumpkin Spice Shaken Espresso has been on repeat in my kitchen, and I swear it tastes even better than the one at the coffee shop.
