Pumpkin Spice Iced Matcha 🍵🎃✨

Because why should coffee have all the pumpkin spice fun? This Pumpkin Spice Iced Matcha is cozy-meets-refreshing — earthy matcha paired with creamy pumpkin cold foam and just the right touch of maple sweetness. It’s like a PSL’s green-tea-loving sister, the one who reads cookbooks for fun and drinks her lattes over ice even in October.

If you’re already deep in your fall beverage era, this one’s for you. We’re layering velvety matcha with homemade pumpkin cold foam (made with Lifeway Kefir for a little probiotic boost) and a drizzle of pumpkin coffee syrup that tastes like dessert but feels like wellness. Cozy, balanced, and just extra enough to make your morning feel like a café moment.

The Recipe

Pumpkin Cold Foam:
– ¼ cup whole milk Lifeway Kefir
– 2–3 tbsp pumpkin purée
– ½–1 tbsp maple syrup
– 2 tbsp heavy whipping cream
– ½ tsp pumpkin pie spice

PSL Matcha:
– 2 tsp matcha powder, whisked with ¼ cup hot water
– ½–¾ cup milk of choice
– Pumpkin cold foam (recipe above)
– Ice
Optional: 1 tbsp Pumpkin Coffee Syrup for extra pumpkin flavor (recipe below)

Pumpkin Coffee Syrup:
– ½ cup pumpkin purée
– ½ cup brown sugar
– ½ tsp cinnamon
– 2 tsp pumpkin pie spice
– ½ tsp vanilla extract
– ½ cup water

How to Make It

  1. Make the Pumpkin Coffee Syrup:
In a small pot, combine pumpkin purée, brown sugar, cinnamon, pumpkin pie spice, vanilla, and water. Simmer for 5–10 minutes until slightly thickened. Let cool and store in a sealed jar in the fridge for up to a week.

  2. Make the Pumpkin Cold Foam:
In a small bowl or frother, combine Lifeway Kefir, pumpkin purée, maple syrup, heavy cream, and pumpkin pie spice. Froth until thick and fluffy.

  3. Make the Matcha:
In a separate glass, whisk matcha with hot water until smooth and slightly foamy. Add ice and pour in your milk of choice.

  4. Assemble:
Add a spoonful (or two) of pumpkin coffee syrup to your matcha if you’re feeling extra festive, then top with your pumpkin cold foam. Sprinkle with a pinch of pumpkin pie spice and sip your way into fall bliss.
