5-Ingredient Salted Caramel Date Fudge (Viral + Healthy!)
If there’s one thing I’ll always remake when the holidays roll around, it’s this 5-Ingredient Salted Caramel Date Fudge. It’s rich, creamy, salty-sweet, and tastes like something you’d snag from a fancy chocolate shop… except it’s secretly gluten-free, dairy-free, paleo, and refined sugar-free.

It’s also one of those recipes that looks impressive but couldn’t be easier. A quick blend, a freeze, and suddenly you have the perfect holiday treat to stash in your freezer for last-minute guests, gifting, or (let’s be honest) your nightly sweet-tooth moment.
Trust me—this one deserves a return.
Why You’ll Love This Salted Caramel Date Fudge
• It tastes like real caramel fudge… but is made from dates.
• You only need 5 main ingredients—no stovetop, no candy thermometer.
• The texture is incredibly creamy thanks to the nut butter + coconut oil combo.
• Naturally gluten-free, dairy-free, paleo, and sweetened only with fruit.
• Freezer-friendly and perfect for holiday gifting or prepping ahead.
• Goes viral for a reason—it truly never disappoints.
Ingredients
• 8 oz dried, pitted dates
• 1/3 cup coconut oil, melted
• 1/2 cup almond or cashew butter (or any nut/seed butter you love)
• 2 tsp pure vanilla extract
• 1/2 tsp this flaky sea salt
Other:
• Boiling water (for soaking dates)
• Flaky sea salt (optional, for topping)
Instructions
-
Soak the dates: Add dates to a bowl and cover with boiling water. Let them soak for 5–10 minutes to soften. Melt the coconut oil in the meantime.
-
Blend the fudge: Drain dates and transfer them to a food processor. Add melted coconut oil, nut/seed butter, vanilla, and salt. Blend until smooth and creamy, pausing to scrape down the sides.
-
Shape: Press the mixture into a parchment-lined loaf pan. Smooth the top and finish with more flaky sea salt if you’d like.
-
Freeze: Freeze for 4–5 hours, or until firm and sliceable.
-
Serve: Cut into bite-sized squares and enjoy! Store extras in the freezer.
