Copycat Café Ep. 16: Better-for-You Starbucks S’mores Frappuccino

If there was ever a drink that tasted like summer in a cup, it’s this one.

The Starbucks S’mores Frappuccino is officially back, and while it’s nostalgic and delicious, I couldn’t resist giving it the Copycat Café treatment.

My version has everything you love—the graham cracker flavor, creamy coffee base, marshmallow cream, chocolate drizzle, and whipped topping—but made with better ingredients and easy enough to make right at home.

It’s basically a campfire dessert and an iced coffee all in one.

Why You’ll Love This Recipe

  • Inspired by Starbucks’ S’mores Frappuccino
  • Made with simple, better-for-you ingredients
  • Protein boost with optional vanilla protein powder
  • Creamy, chocolatey, and perfectly nostalgic
  • Easy to make in just a few minutes
  • Tastes like summer in a glass
  • Much more affordable than the coffee shop version

Ingredients

Frappuccino

  • 1 cup brewed coffee, chilled
  • 1 cup milk of choice
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla creamer or vanilla kefir
  • 1 tablespoon sweetener of choice (optional)
  • ⅓ cup graham cracker crumbs
  • 1 scoop vanilla protein powder (optional)
  • 3 tablespoons chocolate syrup (optional)
  • 4 cups ice

Marshmallow Cream

  • 6 tablespoons marshmallow fluff
  • 6 tablespoons whipped cream

For Topping

  • Graham cracker crumbs
  • Whipped cream
  • Chocolate syrup

Instructions

Blend the Frappuccino

Start with chilled coffee for the best texture. (If you have time, freeze the brewed coffee for a couple of hours before blending for an even thicker Frappuccino.)

Add the coffee, milk, vanilla creamer (or kefir), graham cracker crumbs, sweetener, protein powder (if using), chocolate syrup, and ice to a high-speed blender.

Blend until smooth, creamy, and no large ice pieces remain.

Make the Marshmallow Cream

In a small bowl, gently fold together the marshmallow fluff and whipped cream until smooth and fluffy.

This is what gives the drink that signature S’mores Frappuccino flavor.

Assemble

Divide the marshmallow cream between two glasses.

Drizzle about 1 tablespoon of chocolate syrup into each glass.

Pour the blended Frappuccino over the marshmallow cream.

Top with another swirl of whipped cream, a sprinkle of graham cracker crumbs, and an extra drizzle of chocolate syrup.

Serve immediately.

Tips

  • Freeze your brewed coffee beforehand for an extra thick, coffee shop-style Frappuccino.
  • Vanilla kefir is one of my favorite swaps because it adds a little extra protein while keeping the drink creamy.
  • The vanilla protein powder is completely optional, but it’s an easy way to make this feel a little more balanced.
  • Don’t skip the marshmallow cream layer—it makes the whole drink.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I make this dairy-free?

Absolutely! Use your favorite dairy-free milk, whipped topping, and vanilla creamer.

Can I skip the protein powder?

Yes! It tastes delicious either way.

Can I make it less sweet?

Definitely. Omit the added sweetener and chocolate syrup if you prefer a less sweet Frappuccino.

Final Thoughts

One of my favorite parts of this Copycat Café series is taking those nostalgic coffee shop drinks and recreating them with ingredients I feel good about using at home.

This S’mores Frappuccino is creamy, chocolatey, and packed with all the cozy campfire flavors you’d expect, but it’s made with simple ingredients and comes together in just a few minutes.

Whether you’re making one for a slow Saturday morning, an afternoon pick-me-up, or your next home café day, I have a feeling this one is going to become a summer favorite.
