Tips
- Make sure your mixture is completely smooth before freezing so you get the creamiest texture possible.
- Freezing for a full 24 hours gives the Ninja Creami the best base to work with.
- If your soft serve comes out crumbly after the first spin, add a splash of non-dairy milk and run it through the machine again.
- For a stronger lemon flavor, add a little extra lemon zest.
- The coconut cream helps create that rich, creamy texture, but you can experiment with different thicker non-dairy milks depending on your preference.
Frequently Asked Questions
Can I use a different electrolyte powder?
Yes! You can use another lemon electrolyte powder, but the flavor and sweetness may vary depending on the brand.
Do I have to use coconut cream?
Coconut cream helps create a creamy soft serve texture, but you can experiment with other creamy dairy-free options.
Can I make this without collagen peptides?
Absolutely. The collagen adds extra protein and nutrition, but the recipe will still work without it.
What Ninja Creami setting should I use?
For the best texture, use the Lite Ice Cream button. Depending on your Ninja Creami model, you may also have a soft serve or swirl option.
