Chocolate date crunch bark
I love a recipe that looks like a dessert, tastes like a dessert, and takes approximately five minutes to make.
Enter: Chocolate date crunch bark.

It’s chewy dates layered with creamy nut butter, crunchy Grandy Organics granola, and melted chocolate, and the combination is honestly SO good. The granola gives it that perfect crunch that makes you keep going back for “just one more piece.”
I’m using Grandy Organics granola for this recipe, which you can find at Costco, making this one very easy to add to your next Costco run.
Basically, a homemade candy bar with a little more going on. I’m into it.
Why You’ll Like This
It’s ridiculously easy. No baking, no complicated ingredients, and very little cleanup. My kind of recipe.
The crunch. This is where the Grandy Organics granola really shines. You get that perfect crispy texture with every bite.
It tastes like a candy bar. Dates + nut butter + chocolate is already a winning combination, and then you add granola? Game over.
It’s a great freezer snack. I love keeping these cold so they’re ready whenever I want something sweet.
Costco makes it easy. You can find Grandy Organics granola at Costco, so add it to the cart and thank me later.
Chocolate Date Crunch Bark
Ingredients
- Medjool dates, pitted
- Grandy Organics granola
- Nut butter of choice
- Chocolate, melted
- Flaky sea salt, optional
How to Make Crunchy Date Bark
Line a baking sheet or small baking dish with parchment paper.
Arrange your pitted dates close together in a single layer.
Place another piece of parchment over the dates and use the bottom of a glass or measuring cup to press them down until they form one even layer.
Spread a generous layer of nut butter over the dates.
Pour melted chocolate over the top and spread it into an even layer.
Now for my favorite part: pile on the Grandy Organics granola. Press it gently into the melted chocolate so you get plenty of crunch in every bite.
Finish with flaky sea salt if you’re a salty-sweet person like me.
Pop the bark into the freezer or fridge until the chocolate is completely set.
Break it into pieces and try not to eat the entire batch immediately.
Tips
Use soft Medjool dates. They’re naturally sticky, which helps everything stay together.
Don’t skimp on the granola. More crunch = better bark. This is not the time to be conservative.
Use whatever nut butter you love. Peanut butter, almond butter, cashew butter — they all work.
Keep it in the freezer. I personally love this straight from the freezer. The chocolate gets nice and snappy and the whole thing feels like a frozen candy bar.
Final Thoughts
This is exactly the kind of recipe I love: minimal effort, maximum snack payoff.
You get chewy dates, creamy nut butter, crunchy granola, and chocolate in every bite. And because Grandy Organics granola is available at Costco, this is an easy one to add to the next Costco haul.
Make a batch, throw it in the freezer, and tell me you don’t immediately go back for another piece.
