Banana Bread That Tastes Like Cinnamon Rolls! 🍌✨

If you love the cozy swirl of a cinnamon roll but want the comfort of banana bread, this recipe is for you. Soft, moist, and perfectly spiced, this Cinnamon Roll Banana Bread is a treat for breakfast, brunch, or an anytime snack. Bonus: it can easily be made dairy-free without sacrificing that rich, indulgent flavor.

Why You’ll Love It

  • Super Moist: Thanks to ripe bananas, almond flour, and a touch of butter (or dairy-free alternative).

  • Swirled Cinnamon Goodness: The cinnamon-sugar swirl makes each slice feel like a sweet indulgence.

  • Customizable: Use your favorite plant-based milk and non-dairy butter to make it vegan-friendly.

  • Optional Frosting: Top with a simple cream cheese frosting for a little extra decadence—or skip it for a lighter treat.

Ingredients

For the Bread:

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour

  • 1/2 cup almond flour (or extra flour for less nutty flavor)

  • 1 cup oats (rolled or instant)

  • 3 super ripe bananas, mashed

  • 4 tbsp butter, melted (or dairy-free alternative)

  • 3/4 cup maple syrup

  • 1 cup milk of choice

  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

  • 1 1/2 tsp baking powder

  • 1 tsp baking soda

  • 1 tsp cinnamon

  • 1/4 tsp sea salt

For the Cinnamon Swirl:

  • 3 tbsp butter, melted (or non-dairy butter)

  • 1/4 cup brown or coconut sugar

  • 1 tbsp cinnamon

For the Cream Cheese Frosting (optional):

  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar

  • 2 tbsp butter, melted (or non-dairy butter)

  • 4 tbsp cream cheese, room temp

Instructions

  1. Prep the Pan: Preheat the oven to 350°F. Spray a loaf pan with non-stick spray and line with parchment paper.

  2. Mix the Wet Ingredients: In a large bowl, combine mashed bananas, melted butter, maple syrup, milk, and vanilla extract.

  3. Combine Dry Ingredients: In a separate bowl, mix together all-purpose flour, almond flour, oats, baking powder, baking soda, cinnamon, and salt.

  4. Make the Batter: Fold the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients until just combined. Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan.

  5. Add the Cinnamon Swirl: Mix the cinnamon, sugar, and melted butter together. Drop spoonfuls over the batter and use a knife to swirl it gently through the top.

  6. Bake: Bake for 50–60 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean. Allow to cool slightly in the pan.

  7. Optional Frosting: While slightly warm, smooth the cream cheese frosting over the top and finish with a light dusting of cinnamon.

  8. Serve: Slice, enjoy warm, and savor that perfect balance of banana bread and cinnamon roll goodness.

Tips & Variations

  • Make it Vegan: Swap butter for coconut oil or plant-based butter and use dairy-free cream cheese for the frosting.

  • Add Mix-Ins: Chocolate chips, chopped nuts, or dried fruit make this bread even more irresistible.

  • Storage: Keep covered at room temperature for 2–3 days, or refrigerate for up to a week.
