Peanut Butter Valentine’s Hearts

These peanut butter Valentine’s hearts are my idea of the perfect little treat — rich, chocolatey, naturally sweetened, and made with just a handful of ingredients. They’re no-bake, freezer-friendly, and feel festive without being fussy.

Think peanut butter cup energy… but homemade, heart-shaped, and way cuter.

Whether you’re making these for someone you love, your kids, your friends, or just yourself (highly encouraged), they’re easy, fun, and always a hit.

Why You’ll Love These

  • No baking required

  • Naturally sweetened

  • Gluten-free (depending on flour choice)

  • Perfect for Valentine’s Day or anytime

  • Store beautifully in the fridge or freezer

They’re one of those recipes that look impressive but take very little effort — my favorite kind.

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup natural peanut butter

  • 1/4 cup coconut flour or 3/4 cup almond flour

  • 2 tbsp maple syrup

  • 1 cup dark chocolate

  • 1 tsp coconut oil

  • Sea salt, for topping

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mix together the peanut butter, flour, and maple syrup until a dough forms.

  2. Place the dough onto a cutting board and roll it out evenly.

  3. Use a heart-shaped cookie cutter to cut out hearts. Transfer them to a parchment-lined baking sheet and place in the freezer for 30 minutes.

  4. While the hearts are freezing, melt the dark chocolate and coconut oil together until smooth.

  5. Dip each frozen heart into the melted chocolate until fully coated. Place back on parchment and drizzle with extra chocolate if desired. Sprinkle with flaky sea salt.

  6. Return to the freezer for at least another 30 minutes, until fully set.

  7. Store in the fridge or freezer and enjoy.

Tips & Notes

  • Coconut flour creates a firmer dough; almond flour makes them slightly softer — both work beautifully.

  • Keep these chilled so the chocolate stays snappy.

  • These make the cutest edible Valentine’s gift wrapped in parchment and twine.

Sweet, simple, and made with love — these peanut butter hearts are proof that homemade treats don’t have to be complicated to feel special.
