Blueberry Jam Frozen Yogurt Bites

If you need a little something sweet hiding in your freezer at all times, make these.

These Blueberry Jam Frozen Yogurt Bites are creamy, fruity, a little tangy, and finished with a white chocolate shell that makes them feel much more like a dessert than a snack.

They’re also ridiculously easy to make, which is exactly what I want from a freezer treat.

And the homemade blueberry chia jam? You’ll probably want to make extra because it’s so good.

Why You’ll Like These

They’re so easy. A few simple ingredients, a little mixing, and the freezer does most of the work.

The blueberry jam is homemade. Fresh or frozen blueberries work, and you can adjust the sweetness exactly how you like it.

They’re creamy + crunchy. The frozen yogurt center with the white chocolate shell is such a good combination.

They’re make-ahead friendly. Keep them in the freezer and grab one whenever you want something sweet.

They’re customizable. Make them bigger or smaller depending on how you want to snack on them, and you can drizzle or fully dip them in white chocolate.

Blueberry Chia Seed Jam

Ingredients

  • 12 ounces fresh or frozen blueberries
  • 1 tablespoon chia seeds
  • 1–2 tablespoons maple syrup, depending on desired sweetness

Instructions

Add the blueberries, chia seeds, and maple syrup to a microwave-safe bowl or saucepan.

Cook until the blueberries come to a boil and begin to break down. Mash the blueberries as they cook until you have a jam-like consistency.

Transfer to the fridge and allow the jam to thicken for at least 2 hours. For the best consistency, I recommend making the jam ahead of time and letting it chill overnight.

Frozen Yogurt Bites

Ingredients

  • 2 cups whole milk Greek yogurt
  • ¼ cup blueberry chia seed jam
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla bean paste
  • White chocolate, for dipping or drizzling

Instructions

Mix the Greek yogurt, blueberry chia seed jam, and vanilla bean paste together until well combined.

Using an ice cream scoop or cookie scoop, dollop the mixture onto a parchment-lined baking sheet. This should make about 6 servings, depending on the size of your scoop.

Freeze for about 2 hours, or until completely frozen.

Melt your white chocolate and either dip the frozen yogurt bites into the chocolate or drizzle it over the tops.

Place back in the freezer for another 15 minutes, or until the chocolate is set.

Enjoy!

Tips

Let the jam thicken first. This is important for getting the right consistency and keeping the yogurt mixture from becoming too runny.

Use frozen blueberries. They work just as well as fresh, so make these year-round.

Adjust the sweetness. Start with 1 tablespoon of maple syrup and add more if you prefer a sweeter jam.

Don’t skip the vanilla bean paste. It adds that little extra something to the creamy blueberry mixture.

Use parchment paper. It makes removing the frozen bites from the baking sheet so much easier.

Dip or drizzle. A full white chocolate coating gives you more of a shell, while a drizzle keeps them a little lighter and gives you that pretty blueberry-and-white-chocolate look.

Final Thoughts

These are officially going on my list of things I want stocked in the freezer at all times.

The blueberry chia jam, creamy vanilla yogurt, and white chocolate situation is just too good — and they feel like a little treat without requiring you to actually make a whole dessert.

Make a batch, freeze them, and future you will be very happy you did. Make sure to tag me on Instagram @whatrobineats when you make them!
